Dev and Anna lounged passionately on the muggy apartment rooftop beneath the moon, the stars, and the sparkling city skyline.

"Perfect," Dev thought as he slipped the humble box from his pocket.

Beyond the window, through the glass,

I watch the golden sun go down.

It sinks below the endless ground

as darkness spreads across the grass.

The nighttime adds a touch of class

as lights ignite the busy town,

beyond the window, through the glass,

I watch the golden sun go down.

And there, a strolling lad and lass;

she, in her resplendent gown,

he, in trousers, neat and brown;

lost to shadow, once they pass;

beyond the window, through the glass.
